F & K Style Standard Mould Bases
Standard mould bases from KNARR offer high-performance, ready-to-use solutions for tool and mould makers who demand precision, reliability and flexibility. By stocking both System F and System K configurations you can select the design that best suits your requirements.
Standard materials available include 1.2730, Toolox 33, 1.2312, 1.2085, 1.2343, 1.2767 with others possible on request.
Obviously all plates are stress relieved to reduce internal stress, improve machinability and to ensure dimensional stability.
The annealing process of KNARR plates is carefully monitored during which they are heated up to 580°C over 20hours, this temperature is maintained for a further 6 hours after which they slowly cool over the next 22 hours.
This proven process ensure the dimensional stability and ease of machining that is essential to the toolmaker.
KNARR’s catalogue of mould bases now covers around 40 different sizes, across both System F and System K dimensions — meaning you have a broad standard range ready for fast delivery.
Typical stock levels ensure that many sizes and material combinations are available off the shelf, reducing lead-times and allowing you to move quickly from design to build.
